Ludacris headlining FreeWheel Beach Concert at Cannes Lions
Ludacris will take the stage as the headline performer at the upcoming FreeWheel Beach Concert, held in partnership with NBCUniversal at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 15, with the rapper expected to deliver a mix of classic throwbacks and his newest hits.
Before Ludacris begins his set, guests will enjoy a performance from DJ Namashty and a special guest DJ set from “Summer House” star Kyle Cooke. A representative for the event said, “By bringing in Ludacris as our concert performer, who’s an iconic member of the Comcast NBCUniversal family with Universal’s ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise, we’re demonstrating the depth and breadth of our company and bringing fans and brands closer together.”
The concert serves as the grand finale for a full day of programming by FreeWheel and NBCUniversal on the Croisette. Celebrity appearances from Jimmy Fallon, Savannah Guthrie, Bowen Yang and others will highlight the power of live programming. Doors for the invite-only event open at 8 p.m. local time.

Benson Boone sells out 29-date tour in nine seconds
Benson Boone made headlines when he announced that his entire “American Heart” tour sold out in just nine seconds. The singer shared the news with fans on Instagram on May 10, writing, “bruh. (Pees himself) THANK YOU THANK YOU,” alongside a list of the 29 tour dates. The arena tour is named after his sophomore album, which arrives June 20. The trek kicks off Aug. 22 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and includes stops in Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles before wrapping up Oct. 11 in Salt Lake City.
Post Malone's 'Travelin' Tailgate' hits select cities
Post Malone is giving fans a taste of life on the road with his “Travelin' Tailgate” pre-show experience, which accompanies his Big Ass Stadium Tour. Hours before his sold-out Dallas show at AT&T Stadium on May 9, the tailgate took over a parking lot across the street. Attendees enjoyed live music, local food trucks, exclusive merchandise, photo opportunities and a chance to win new ink from Malone’s personal tattoo artist. T-Mobile also sponsored an immersive dive bar-meets-country glam pop-up called Club Magenta.
At Club Magenta, fans played Skee-Ball for prizes like Malone merch and could customize leather keychains. The space also offered phone-charging stations, seating and complimentary Red Bull and water. A rooftop view provided a full look at the tailgate and doubled as a photo op. The next Travelin' Tailgate took place May 18 at Ford Field in Detroit, with additional dates to be announced.

Stevie Nicks teases 'autobiographical' album inspired by 'fantastic men'
Stevie Nicks is working on an “autobiographical” album, her first project of entirely new material since 2011’s “In Your Dreams.” During her induction into the Pollstar Live! Hall of Fame on April 16, the legendary singer described the record as “the ghost record.” She revealed, “I have seven songs, and they are … real stories where I’m not pulling any punches for probably the first time in my life. They are not airy, fairy songs that you are wondering who they’re about but you don’t really get it. They’re real stories of memories of mine of fantastic men,” citing the late Prince as one muse.
The event also honored Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Jelly Roll, Missy Elliott, Taylor Swift, Usher and Dead & Company, whose “Dead Forever” residency at Sphere in Las Vegas earned residency of the year. The Millennium Tour hits Dallas-Fort Worth area
The Millennium Tour 2025 made a stop in the Dallas-Fort Worth area on March 28, bringing a celebration of 2000s R&B and hip-hop to Dickies Arena. The 25-city trek, produced by the Black Promoters Collective, is co-headlined by Trey Songz, Omarion and Bow Wow, with a supporting lineup that includes Nivea, Plies, Boosie, the Ying Yang Twins, RSVP and special guest Rick Ross.
The sold-out crowd turned out in throwback attire, from airbrushed shirts to jersey dresses. Nivea kicked off the evening with a short but energetic set featuring “Okay,” “Don’t Mess With My Man” and “Complicated.” The Ying Yang Twins followed with a 15-minute performance of “Salt Shaker,” “Wait,” “Say I Yi Yi” and “Whistle While You Twurk.” RSVP — made up of Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V and former Pretty Ricky singer Pleasure P — delivered a standout set, with Bobby V showing off his piano skills and handing out red roses during “Mrs. Officer.”
Boosie opened with “Wipe Me Down” and paid tribute to late Dallas rapper MO3 with their collaboration “Everybody.” Rick Ross and Plies rounded out the opening performances, though Ross’s set left some fans underwhelmed. Bow Wow then performed a 30-minute set that included “Shortie Like Mine,” “Like You,” “Let Me Hold You” and “Outta My System.” He also revealed that his daughter Shai had recently moved to Dallas after her mother’s home burned in the LA wildfires.
Omarion kept his shirt on during his performance, poking fun at online commentary about his chest. He performed solo hits like “O,” “Touch” and “Post to Be,” plus a few B2K favorites, though the absence of his former bandmates was felt. Lady Gaga announces 'intimate' tour for new album 'Mayhem'
Lady Gaga revealed on March 26 that she would take her album “Mayhem” on the road. “I wasn’t planning to tour this year after my shows in Singapore but the incredible response to the new album inspired me to keep things going,” she wrote on Instagram. She credited music promoter Arthur Fogel and Live Nation for organizing a global tour in just a few weeks. Gaga chose arenas over stadiums to maintain control over the show’s details, promising “the kind of theatrical and electrifying experience that brings MAYHEM to life exactly how I envision it.”

Brandi Cyrus joins Kenny Chesney for Las Vegas residency at Sphere
Brandi Cyrus is opening for Kenny Chesney during his Las Vegas residency at the Sphere. Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight and Stephanie Mills announced "The Queens! 4 Legends. 1 Stage." tour on March 18. The R&B icons will perform hits like “Ain’t Nobody,” “I’m Every Woman,” “Lady Marmalade,” “Midnight Train to Georgia” and “Never Knew Love Like This Before.” The first leg begins May 9 in Las Vegas and ends June 1 in Indianapolis, with stops in Los Angeles, Brooklyn and Nashville. Ariana Grande announced on March 10 that she would release a deluxe edition of her 2024 album "Eternal Sunshine" in honor of its first anniversary. Jennie's debut solo album surpasses 450K pre-orders
Blackpink’s Jennie achieved major commercial success before her debut solo album “Ruby” even dropped. Columbia Records announced on March 4 that the album had surpassed 450,000 global pre-orders. The 15-track project, released March 7, includes collaborations with Childish Gambino, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa and others. Pre-order bundles included signed CD box sets, T-shirts, hoodies, postcards and stickers. Rising country star Max McNown plays Irving Plaza
Max McNown performed back-to-back sold-out shows at Irving Plaza in New York City on Feb. 11 and 12. The rising country star was originally booked for the 575-seat Bowery Ballroom but moved to the larger venue after selling out. He performed hits including “A Lot More Free” and “Turned Into Missing You.” The Nashville-based singer started busking in California before breaking out in 2023. His sophomore album “Night Diving” arrived Jan. 24, and Kelly Clarkson recently covered “A Lot More Free” on her talk show.
Kendrick Lamar and SZA extend joint tour after Super Bowl halftime show
Kendrick Lamar and SZA expanded their Grand National Tour on Feb. 10, the day after they co-headlined the Super Bowl halftime show. The new dates include four North American stops and 13 European shows, with summer performances in Toronto, Washington DC, Amsterdam, Paris, London and Rome. Presales began Feb. 12, followed by general sales Feb. 14. During the halftime performance in New Orleans, Lamar included his Grammy-winning diss track “Not Like Us,” reigniting his feud with Drake.

Katy Perry announces US leg of 'Lifetimes' tour
Katy Perry announced on Jan. 27 that she would bring her “Lifetimes” tour to the US. The American leg begins May 7 at Toyota Center in Houston and includes stops at the United Center in Chicago, T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Kia Forum in Inglewood, TD Garden in Boston, Madison Square Garden in New York and Kaseya Center in Miami. In addition to songs from her album “143,” Perry will perform hits from across her catalog. Ticket presales started Jan. 28, with general sales Jan. 31.
Performers announced for 2025 Grammys
The Recording Academy confirmed in early January that the 67th annual Grammy Awards would proceed as planned following the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. Billie Eilish, Charli XCX and Sabrina Carpenter were announced as performers at the Crypto.com Arena on Feb. 2. Other performers included Benson Boone, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Raye, Shakira and Teddy Swims. Trevor Noah returned as host for the fifth consecutive year.
Morgan Wallen announces 'I'm the Problem' album and tour
Morgan Wallen revealed on Jan. 24 that his fourth studio album would be titled “I’m the Problem.” He also announced 19 dates for his “I’m the Problem” tour, kicking off June 20 at NRG Stadium in Houston and stopping in Miami, Seattle and Toronto. A rotating lineup of guests including Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett will join him. “We made so many lifelong memories on the ‘One Night at a Time’ world tour, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for my fans,” Wallen said in a statement. Star-studded lineup announced for LA's FireAid benefit event
The music industry came together to raise money for Los Angeles following the January wildfires. The Intuit Dome and Kia Forum hosted a FireAid benefit event on Jan. 30, with performances from Billie Eilish and Finneas, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Jelly Roll, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, Pink, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart, Sting, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks and Tate McRae. Dave Matthews and John Mayer performed together for the first time. The event raised funds for rebuilding efforts and fire prevention. It was broadcast on various platforms, including Apple Music, Max, Netflix and Prime Video.
Taylor Swift, the Eagles and more make charitable donations to LA's wildfire relief efforts
Numerous artists gave back to assist Los Angeles wildfire relief. Taylor Swift donated an undisclosed amount to organizations including the California Community Foundation Fund, Greater Los Angeles Education Relief, Habitat for Humanity and MusiCares. The Eagles and Beyoncé each donated $2.5 million to FireAid and the LA Fire Relief Fund, respectively. The Weeknd granted $1 million, and Jennifer Lopez contributed items from her own closet. Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco and Dave Grohl were spotted volunteering and serving food to first responders.
Grammys to proceed as planned with 'a renewed sense of purpose' after LA wildfires
The Recording Academy announced on Jan. 13 that the 2025 Grammys would proceed as planned at Crypto.com Arena on Feb. 2, despite the wildfires. “This year’s show, however, will carry a renewed sense of purpose: raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours,” read a statement from Recording Academy and MusiCares CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and board chair Tammy Hurt. Several affiliated parties were canceled, but MusiCares' Persons of the Year gala honoring the Grateful Dead and Clive Davis’s pre-Grammy fundraising event went ahead. The Recording Academy and MusiCares raised more than $2 million in emergency aid. Live Nation also committed $1 million through the Crew Nation Global Relief Fund.
