Every September, the tech industry descends on Berlin for IFA, one of the largest consumer electronics trade shows in the world. This year’s event delivered a flood of announcements that carry serious weight for PC users: monitors stole the show with groundbreaking OLED and Mini-LED options, laptops became lighter and more repairable, and clever AI-focused hardware and software pointed toward a more distributed future. Here are the ten products and technologies from IFA 2026 that left the biggest impression.

Acer Vero 16

Acer has spent years embracing sustainability with its Vero lineup, and the redesigned Vero 16 represents its most complete repairability statement yet. Alongside recycled plastics and other eco-conscious materials, the new laptop offers tool-free access to the primary component bay, replaceable hinges, a user-replaceable battery, and an easily swappable SSD. It is not quite a Framework rival because the RAM remains soldered, but it is a meaningful step for mainstream laptops.

Specs include a base Core Ultra 5 322 processor, options up to Core Ultra X9 388H, respectable Arc B390 graphics, a standard OLED panel, and a 71-watt-hour battery. The configuration looks well suited to students and professionals who want a balanced all-rounder without paying premium repair fees later.
